Who doesn’t want to speak their mind for free out on the world wide web? This is all new to me, so I’ll try not to be too amateur-ish. Here we go.
What you will find on this site will be a collection of thoughts about popular culture, film, music, politics, power structures, the Christian faith, an occasional old movie, and probably life-altering insights from the exploits of a miniature dachsund named Maggie. These thoughts will be my thoughts (as much as that is possible), and are not intended to be either offensive or nonoffensive. The hope is, they just are. Commentary on these words are purely up to you. We will see how well this works.
My mind is full of thoughts, and in a very real sense, I think I need this blog to keep sane. I work in a dirty warehouse, people, for a boss who thinks I and anybody else working underneath him is an idiot. Lord, have mercy on us all.
For those of you who understood the reference in the title of this blog, Yes, I am obsessed with the movie Network. It is thirty years old, and is as frighteningly prophectic about our times as any movie I’ve ever seen. It’s madness. But it’s the inspired, cranky, Jewish prophet-type of madness. For those with ears to hear, listen to it. We as a society, we as Christians, we as humans at this point in history ignore it, I think, at our own peril.
So, we’ll begin here.
