well, i had what was by far my favorite post to date nearly finished, and it disappeared. before i could save it, something went wrong with my truevector security something-or-other, and i lost pretty much the whole thing and it could not be rescued. two hours of work, gone, just like that. i’m working on re-writing it, and i’ll get it too you as soon as i can. right now, i’m mourning in two ways. the first is displacement, or the “kick-the-dog” approach. since i love our weiner dog too much, i’ve displaced my grief even further by denouncing capitalization. this would be considered a petty way of dealing with grief.
the second way is through sublimation. here is possibly the worst lay-up ever recorded to film in any level of basketball higher than sixth-grade rec leagues, and it happened to my cleveland cavs. i figured i could overcome my grief with a little humor. it’s more socially acceptable and a little less idiosyncratic. my only regret is that i couldn’t find a version of this clip that showed it, like, five times in a row, because it truly is a thing of beauty in its own right.
Enjoy.

Truly sorry for your lost post but this one turned out to be pretty darn funny.
